2013 National Champions
The Five Lakes Silver Band took 1st place in the 1st division at the North American Brass Band Association Championships held in Cincinnati, Ohio April 12-13, 2013. The band's performance of the test piece, Arthus Bliss' Four Dances from the ballet 'Checkmate' (arranged by Eric Ball), and Phillip Sparke's challenging Harmony Music were enthusiastically received by audience members and adjudicators alike.
The result marks a milestone in the band's history, being recognized as one of the nation's premiere brass bands under the baton of music director Neil Barlow.
Congratulations to the Five Lake Silver Band and all of their supporters.
