Mike Schott, Farmington Hills, Michigan Mike Schott is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he studied Marketing while also performing in the Symphony Band, Wind Symphony, and the Spartan Marching Band, and receiving instruction on Euphonium from Leonard Falcone. He is a sales professional and father of a beautiful elementary school aged son. Mike joined the Five Lakes Euphonium section in 2015. He has served the FLSB Board of Directors for over two years, and has formerly served on the Board at Motor City Brass Band, where he was a former chairman. Treasurer - Doug Bayne
Doug Bayne, Rochester Hills, MI. Doug Bayne owns Bayne Electric & Security, a full-service corporation for residential and commercial electrical contracting. Doug is a founding member of the FLSB and currently performs as Third Cornet. He joined the Board of Directors in 2012, and has served as treasurer since 2017. His many musical projects have included the Royal Brass Quintet, which he has directed since 1977, the Livonia Symphony, of which he was a 15 year member, and Sound 71, which he directed for six years. Doug is also a member of the Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Divisional Band, and has played in the Royal Oak Citadel Band for 12 years. Music Director - Christopher Ward
Personnel Manager - Jeff Markwick
Jeff Markwick, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. An original member of the band, Jeff currently works as a freelance musician in SE Michigan after spending 30 years in Industrial Sales. He has been the Personnel Manager since 2007 and currently plays Flugelhorn in the band. Member at Large - Dr. Deborah DePorre
Dr. Deborah DePorre, Bloomfield Hills, MI. Deb plays second baritone in Five Lakes Silver Band and is a member at large on the Board of Directors. She grew up in Port Huron Michigan, the daughter of music teachers. While attending Michigan State University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction and then was accepted to the College of Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband raised two daughters, and after practicing medicine for 30 years is retired and now enjoys raising puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester Michigan.
