Five Lakes Metro Brass

Five Lakes Metro Brass (FLMB) is a dedicated concert (non-competitive) British-style brass band that operates under the Five Lakes Silver Band 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

FLMB will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at the Salvation Army Great Lakes Divisional headquarters located at 16130 Northland Drive, Southfield, MI 48075. The band will present concerts each year in the Detroit Metro. 

Members do not need to play exclusively in FLMB. In fact, coincidental membership with other brass bands is encouraged to strengthen the ties between bands in the Great Lakes region. FLMB uses standard British-style brass band instrumentation.

We are very excited to be adding a second band within the Five Lakes umbrella to further enhance the rich and diverse brass band culture in Michigan!
